4. Quotations and Acceptance
All quotations are provided without obligation and remain valid for the period specified therein.
A project is considered accepted once the client confirms the quotation in writing (including email confirmation).
Marie Grégoire Translation reserves the right to decline assignments at its discretion.
5. Pricing and Payment
Prices are specified in the quotation and may be calculated based on word count, project scope, or agreed fixed fee.
Invoices are payable within the period indicated on the invoice.
Late payments may result in statutory interest and recovery costs in accordance with applicable Belgian law.
Marie Grégoire Translation reserves the right to suspend ongoing work in the event of non-payment.
6. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete source materials
- Ensure that content submitted for translation does not infringe third-party rights
- Provide necessary reference materials and context
- Review delivered work within a reasonable timeframe
The client remains responsible for the final use of translated content.
7. Confidentiality
All documents and information provided by the client are treated as strictly confidential.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to ensure the protection of confidential materials.
Confidentiality obligations remain in force after completion of the project.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment of the invoice transfers usage rights for the translated content to the client.
Marie Grégoire Translation retains the right to reference completed projects for portfolio purposes unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
Source materials remain the property of the client.
9. Quality and Revisions
Marie Grégoire Translation commits to delivering professional-quality services.
If the client identifies a justified issue, a revision request must be submitted within a reasonable period after delivery.
Revisions are limited to the original project scope. Substantial modifications or changes to the source content may require a new quotation.
10. Limitation of Liability
Marie Grégoire Translation shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of translated content.
Liability, if applicable, shall be limited to the amount invoiced for the specific project concerned.
The client is responsible for verifying that the translated content is suitable for its intended use.
11. Force Majeure
Marie Grégoire Translation shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, illness, or external service disruptions.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate a project in writing.
In the event of termination, the client shall pay for all work completed up to the date of termination.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Belgian law.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium.
14. Amendments
Marie Grégoire Translation reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on this website.
